“Thank you IIFL, REACHA & Indian Army for manifesting my dream in Hospitality Sector”

IIFL Hospitality Centre, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative funded by India Infoline Limited was established in Kupwara Town by Delhi based NGO REACHA in coordination with Indian Army in February 2023. The centre was conceptualized with singular aim of providing employment opportunities to the motivated youth of Kupwara.

After identifying and mobilizing 40 youth for the said programme, the centre was inaugurated by General Officer Commanding, 28 Infantry Division in February. Chef training was imparted to all the trainees by professionals from Taj Group and curriculum was so designed as to start from teaching basics of cooking and to gradually advance to independent cooking by each trainee. To give the trainees the on-ground exposure and to give them an introduction to working culture in chef sector, visit the restaurant owners of Kupwara Town was also organised at the centre.

As a result of path-breaking efforts by Indian Army and NGO REACHA, 30 trainees have been placed within few days of completion of training program in different restaurants across Kashmir. Out of 30, one trainee has been placed in Gulmarg, two in Sopore, five in Pahalgam, six in Srinagar and 16 in Kupwara.

To celebrate the success of the program and to give proud parents an pportunity to express their happiness, interaction of Parents with staff of the center & media personnel was organized on 01 May 2023. Parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to IIFL, NGO & Indian Army for providing opportunities to their wards where they got to explore their talents and hone their skills. They expressed that this program has provided a platform to their children through which they were able to transform their lives. From the families which were struggling to make the ends meet, it has provided them the means of livelihood and respect in the society.

The event culminated with tea and delicacies prepared by the students of Chef training program.
