Shikhar Dhawan Foundation And HMD Strengthen Digital Learning In Delhi Schools

Interactive panels, smart devices and curriculum-led tools will enhance teaching outcomes while fostering inclusive, future-ready education

The Shikhar Dhawan Foundation (SDF), the philanthropic arm of Da One Group, has announced the expansion of its flagship Digital Shiksha initiative across 10 government schools in Delhi, with support from Human Mobile Devices (HMD) under its corporate social responsibility programme.

The rollout, scheduled over the next six months, is expected to benefit more than 20,000 students and over 800 educators, further strengthening digital learning infrastructure within Delhi’s public education system.

Guided by the vision of Indian cricketer and Arjuna Awardee Shikhar Dhawan, the initiative builds on Da One Group’s ongoing collaboration with the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi. The programme aims to integrate technology-driven learning solutions into classrooms and create more engaging educational experiences for both students and teachers.

The expanded partnership between Shikhar Dhawan Foundation and HMD follows the impact created by Digital Shiksha in schools across the country. The initiative currently operates in more than 25 schools nationwide and has already reached over 20,000 students.

Speaking on the expansion, Sophie Dhawan, COO, Da One Group, said, “Digital learning today is no longer an added advantage but an essential part of how students engage with education. Through Digital Shiksha, our focus has always been on creating learning environments where technology meaningfully improves the classroom learning experience for students and educators alike. Seeing the impact created across schools gives us confidence that scaling the initiative further can help build more inclusive and future-ready classrooms.”

Anshita Gupta, CEO, Da One Group, highlighted the importance of creating scalable models for public education. “The impact created through Digital Shiksha has reinforced our belief in the importance of building scalable digital learning models within public education systems. We are pleased to partner with HMD once again as we expand the initiative across more Delhi government schools in alignment with the Directorate of Education’s continued focus on strengthening digital infrastructure in education,” she said.

Ravi Kunwar, CEO and Vice President – India and APAC, ANZ, HMD, said the company remains committed to leveraging technology for social impact. “Having witnessed the impact created through Digital Shiksha, we are pleased to extend our partnership with the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation with a larger shared vision for digital education in Delhi government schools. At HMD, we believe meaningful access to technology can play a transformative role in shaping future-ready learning environments,” he said.

Digital Shiksha seeks to transform classroom experiences through the installation of Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs), HMD smartphones and a licensed K-12 digital curriculum. The programme is designed to make learning more interactive and visual while supporting educators with structured digital teaching tools.

By enhancing the teaching of subjects such as science, mathematics and languages, the initiative aims to improve classroom engagement and learning outcomes while contributing to broader efforts to modernise education within government schools.

The latest expansion reflects the growing emphasis on technology-enabled learning and the role of public-private partnerships in creating accessible, inclusive and future-ready educational environments for students across India.
