The new lubricant uses a volatile, eco-safe solvent that quickly evaporates after application, leaving behind a pure, ultra-thin graphene film that provides durable, solid-state lubrication

Joyphene Sustainable Innovations (P) Ltd, a technology start-up, has introduced GraphenGlide, an eco-friendly graphene-based solid dry lubricant product in the market.
Joy Thomas, Founder & Director, Joyphene Sustainable Innovations, said that the product removes rust, prevents corrosion without a drop of oil or grease. Unlike traditional oil- or grease-based products, it contains no mineral oil, grease or synthetic carrier. Instead, it uses a volatile, eco-safe solvent that quickly evaporates after application — leaving behind a pure, ultra-thin graphene film that provides durable, solid-state lubrication.
For cyclists, bikers and everyday households, GraphenGlide offers a dry, clean and long-lasting lubrication experience. Its solid graphene coating stays bonded to chains, gears and metal parts, ensuring superior resistance to water, dust and wear and long-lasting protection across diverse climates.
The ideal applications of the product include ceiling and pedestal fans, water pumps and motors, sewing machines and mixers, door and gate hinges etc. Priced at ₹300 for an 80 ml bottle, the product is now commercially available on Amazon and will very soon be on Flipkart as well.
The company operating in Kinfra Park in Kerala’s Ottappalam is committed to developing sustainable, high-performance technologies that reduce environmental impact while delivering tangible economic benefits to users worldwide, Thomas said adding that the launch of the product marks a significant milestone for India’s nanotechnology and materials science community.
