Canon Central and North Africa has partnered with Women in Successful Careers to accelerate the empowerment of women in Nigeria’s creative industries.
In a statement on Monday, the partnership aligns with the International Women’s Day 2025 theme, “Accelerate Action,” and demonstrates both organizations’ commitment to creating tangible progress for women in underrepresented sectors.
The Managing Director of Canon Central and North Africa, Somesh Adukia, emphasized that the initiative is more than just about providing technical skills; it is about building confidence, fostering industry connections, and promoting diversity within Nigeria’s creative sector.
“We believe in the power of creativity to drive change. Through ‘Women Who Empower,’ we are not just equipping women with technical skills but also empowering them to build successful careers,” Adukia said. “Our partnership with WISCAR reflects our unwavering commitment to diversity and the long-term growth of Nigeria’s creative industry.”
Also, the Founder and Chairperson of WISCAR, Amina Oyagbola, noted that the collaboration is breaking down barriers for women in the print and imaging industries.
“Our partnership with Canon has been a resounding success, empowering women to advance in their careers,” she said. “It is a great example of how strategic collaborations can drive meaningful change in industries where women are traditionally underrepresented.”
