
Allianz Lanka remained steadfast in its commitment to road safety, with a focus on protecting children. Allianz Lanka flagship CSR initiative ‘Allianz Protect’, from September 16-23, spanning 30 locations islandwide. This marked the fourth consecutive year of this impactful program.
Many schoolchildren travelled on motorbikes without helmets, putting them at serious risk. To address this, Allianz Protect distributed 1,550 helmets in 2025, including 250 contributed by HHCo Industries.
The initiative was once again supported by the Sri Lanka Police, reinforcing the long-standing partnership between the two organizations. Together, Allianz Lanka and the Police ensured that deserving beneficiaries were carefully identified, children were educated on road safety, and proper helmet use was monitored during school hours.
Allianz Lanka Chief Distribution Officer Ranga Dias said;
“At Allianz Lanka, children remained at the heart of our CSR efforts, and Allianz Protect was a clear reflection of that focus. This program was not just about distributing helmets, it was about safeguarding the lives of our youngest road users and nurturing a culture of safety from an early age. With 1,550 helmets being distributed this year across 30 locations, we took meaningful steps to protect schoolchildren and give parents peace of mind.”
Adding his perspective, DIG of Sri Lanka Police, Indika Hapugoda, said; “The Sri Lanka Police was proud to continue its collaboration with Allianz Lanka in advancing road safety through the ‘Allianz Protect’ initiative. The distribution of child safety helmets went beyond compliance, it was about instilling a life-saving habit from a young age.”
The helmet distribution and awareness events took place across Allianz Lanka branches and partner locations in Embilipitiya, Trincomalee, Ambalantota, Medawachchiya, Warakapola, Union Place, Gampaha, Nittambuwa, Nuwara Eliya, Ja-Ela, Dambulla, Matale, Matara, Aluthgama, Horana, Moneragala, Badulla, Wennappuwa, Kilinochchi, Wellawatte, Chunnakam, Wellawaya, Gampola, Nugegoda, Balangoda, Chilaw, Akkaraipattu, Kaduwela, Ratnapura, and Panadura.
With ‘Allianz Protect’, Allianz Lanka continued to strengthen its commitment to safeguarding the most vulnerable road users – children. By focusing its CSR efforts on protecting and empowering the younger generation, the company not only provided immediate safety but also invested in building a culture of responsibility, awareness and care that would shape a safer future for Sri Lanka’s roads.
