Toyota Kirloskar Motor digitises 37 Malavalli schools with smart classrooms, live lessons, and NCERT content.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has introduced its Multimedia Learning Infrastructure Initiative (MLII) in Karnataka’s Malavalli Education Block, digitally connecting 37 government high schools.
Can technology help rural students access the same learning tools as urban classrooms? With live lessons, smart boards, and NCERT-aligned content, TKM aims to reduce infrastructure gaps and improve teaching resources across multiple schools at once.
Live teaching through smart technology
Launched under TKM’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme, the initiative uses an innovative broadcast model to deliver lessons efficiently. Six broadcasting and recording stations will stream live teaching sessions to 31 receiving stations, allowing multiple schools to participate simultaneously.

Classrooms are equipped with DLED touch-point smart boards, Wi-Fi, cameras, and UPS systems. The digital boards come pre-loaded with curriculum-based content aligned with the state and NCERT syllabus, encouraging more engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Leaders highlight education impact
Appreciating the initiative, P. M. Narendra Swamy, MLA of Malavalli Taluk and Chairman of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board, said, “Technology-driven education is essential to ensure that every student, regardless of their location, has access to quality learning opportunities. TKM’s Initiative represents a forward-thinking approach to addressing educational challenges in our region. This digitisation will create a strong foundation for their academic success and future careers. I commend TKM for its sustained commitment to community development through education.”
Sudeep Dalvi, Chief Communication Officer, Project Senior Vice President & Head State Affairs, Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “We firmly believe that education is the cornerstone of community development and social progress. This Initiative reflects TKM’s commitment to ensuring that students in rural areas have the same opportunities and resources as those in urban regions to reach their full potential. The program aligns with TKM’s philosophy of empowering communities and building a brighter future for the next generation.”
Long-term benefits for students
The MLII programme is expected to enhance teaching quality, improve student engagement, strengthen digital literacy, and promote uniform curriculum delivery. By working closely with the Malavalli Taluk Education Department and the Karnataka Government, TKM aims to create a sustainable learning framework benefiting thousands of students in the years ahead.
